How Does a Workplace Pantry Service Work?
From the first walkthrough to weekly restocking, here is the step-by-step of running a managed pantry program in a Richmond-area workplace.

A workplace pantry service is a recurring operation, not a one-time delivery. Here is what the cycle looks like once a program is in place.
Step 1: the walkthrough
We look at the break room or pantry area, measure usable space, check power for refrigeration, and talk through headcount, shifts, and how employees currently get snacks and drinks.
Step 2: program design
Together we define:
- The product list — snacks, cold drinks, water, coffee, and healthier options
- How much of the cost the employer covers, if any
- Shelving and cooler layout
- Restocking frequency
Step 3: setup
Shelving, baskets, and refrigeration go in, and the area is stocked for the first time. Setup timing for approved locations is generally 15 to 30 days depending on equipment and site readiness.
Step 4: ongoing service
On a recurring schedule we restock, rotate product so nothing sits past date, clean and organize the area, and track what is actually moving. Slow sellers get replaced with items your team asks for.
Step 5: adjustments over time
Consumption changes with headcount, seasons, and shift patterns. Programs are reviewed and adjusted rather than left on autopilot.
What the employer handles
Providing the space, keeping it accessible during service visits, and letting us know when headcount or hours change significantly.
